I think about what ‘should’ have happened
Kathy 41 is married and has two children. A food technologist from London
How are you?
I don't know!
How do you see yourself?
I am a reaction to what has been moulded, squished and mashed. An experience of what has happened.
What’s your most memorable experience?
That the most amazing thing that had happened had gone horribly wrong. My son was born with a rare genetic disorder.
Where does all your energy go?
I give it away. My energy goes into attachment. I think about what ‘should’ have happened.
What brings you down?
Self-doubt, self-worth, self-esteem, self-consciousness. I know it’s all in my mind and I know it’s my mind that stops me.
How do you see yourself?
As a little girl who is trying really hard.
What do you like about yourself?
I’m extremely honest and really kind. I’m loving and giving and I try to be mindful.
How do you best express yourself?
I make things. I like to use my hands. I sit on the floor crossed legged and make stuff. I like to make beautiful things.
What do you think about life?
It’s an illusion. It’s our role to remember what we have forgotten - to remember who we really are. We can’t be told, we have to remember and I think that can be done through learning about ourselves.
What would you like to leave for the next generation?
I would like my children to truly accept who they are. I would like in some way to help people value their own health.
Are you free?
More than I’ve ever been.
What have you taken from doing this today?
There were stages when I felt very uncomfortable. I’ve learnt that I have more work to do on accepting and loving myself.
