I have faith that we are not far from the camp fires of kind people

How are you?
It’s an interesting moment of life for everybody. This precise moment we are hopefully coming out of the pandemic and both my children are going to off to University. We are heading toward being empty nesters. My wife and I are going to have to get to know each other again. We knew each other twenty years ago then we had children and life’s been centred around them.
I am an optimistic person. I think you've got to be relatively clear minded. You have to understand yourself a little bit. There’s very few compensations about getting older but one of them is, you have more self revelation. You’ve learned and change over the years. Things happen to us - we do change! I think life is too bloody short not to be conscious of what you're doing and how you respond.
More from Simon in ‘Men Talk’ - coming soon.
