How are you?

Today is a good day. I am very busy with my Drag. Drag takes up my whole life. It's very much a 24/7 thing. If I'm not doing a show, I might be getting ready for one. I might be putting a costume together or working on a video. I would love to get on “Drag Race” so I could really travel with my act. I’d love to do a stint in Benidorm. I’d like to get into Pantomime later in life.

My dissertation at University was titled ‘Performing Digital Persona via Drag’. (A bit of a mouthful) It was a massive installation piece with a lip sync booth and other miniature instalments. It took weeks to put together with no budget! That’s the sort of thing I’d love to take further. Deconstructing drag, letting people build their own drag personas.

How do you see yourself?

As a young person trying their best to keep afloat. Trying to keep optimistic because that's all we can really do at the minute. In a nutshell,  I’m a 23 years old creative kid trying to make ends meet while enjoying myself.

How do you think other people see you?

I think most people would say I’m quite shy, reserved and quiet. Creative and delivers very bad jokes!

A few years ago I was walking home from High Wycombe Pride in drag. This random woman spat out ‘What the fuck is that’? I know people's ignorance is to do with lack of understanding. People don't always give drag a chance. That’s why I love giving talks about it.

What do you like about yourself?

My individuality. I’m very aware of how pretentious that sounds! I love the drag I do because it is authentically me. I do what I do the way I do, simply because I love it.

I’ve got a dozen gigs coming up. The WI (Women’s Institute) are absolutely amazing. I’d never heard of them before before lockdown but they’ve booked me for loads of talks and have been wonderful.

What do you think about marriage?

I'm not sure if it's for me. I don't see a point in marriage in modern day outside of legal reasons. It’s not on my to-do list at all, it just doesn't interest me.

What about children?

Having kids is probably the worst thing that could happen to me. The  idea of kids is a big ‘no no’. I'm not a fan of kids in any sense of the word. I can’t imagine them in my future.
