Bunking off early
The summer is here and although we’re not officially on holiday yet there’s much to do so I’m bunking off early.
There’s a wedding this weekend in the gorgeous Ribble Valley, one of my oldest friends is doing it for the second time - I tried telling her but she wouldn’t listen!
My eldest daughter Connie is graduating from Warwick Uni on Monday which coincides with our 24th Wedding anniversary and then the following weekend we are having a ‘do’ for our other daughter Anna, who will be 21. Eighty guests in our tiny London garden - that will be hot and sweaty. I’ll fit in nicely being in menopausal hell - which brings me onto my news. My new book - ‘A Pocket Size Menopause’.
One of the reasons I haven't managed to type up some transcriptions of the men’s interviews recently is due to a tiny distraction; I wasn’t planning on writing another book until the mens one was finished but I woke up one morning a few months ago with an intense desire to share the pain of menopause. Recently it has taken its fair share of my character, energy and sanity away so I felt a retaliation was in order. It’s a small book hence the title, hopefully funny (although awkward if not) and insightful. The manuscript is with Alison, the designer and hopefully will be ready to share with you in September.
So that leaves me on a wet, humid moring in July signing off from my She Shed (my life’s best gift) and wish you Bonne Vacances.
‘Til Septmber folks!
