Written in the stars
First of all apologies for being exceptionally quiet on here, although if you’re anything like me, I suspect you’re thankful. The less ‘noise’ out there the better? Incessant chatting on every social media platform, what has the world come to? All those folk gyrating around their kitchen islands, lip syncing, I DON’T CARE! So, I’ve left planet earth and taken to the stars. My next incarnation - apprentice astrologer. Yep you heard right…I’m training to read your stars.
I started dabbling in the ‘underworld’ when I was about 20. My first astrology reading was in Covent Garden back in the late 80’s and whenever a friend had a baby I’d buy a birthchart from the Astrology shop on Neal St. I’ve always been intrigued but didn’t think about studying it - that was until last year! I bought an introduction to astrology course on line - I was blown away! That taster was enough to go all in. I’m now on a 3 year journey orbiting the planets.
There’s something wonderfully mysterious and exciting about exploring - particularly on a divisive topic. A conversation can go two ways; either you’re completely bonkers or - they’re offering their birth time and asking for a reading.
An ancient tool going back to the Mesopotamians, the Mayans, the Greeks, the Chinese - in fact most civilisations have looked to the stars for life direction. Astrology is a fascinating, absorbing, intriguing subject and I’m loving it. Who knew Saturn would help explain why life can be challenging at times? And knowing your North Node might help understand why we keep repeating the same old patterns! It’s early doors but I’m in for the long haul so if you’re interested in coming along for an astrological ride I’d be happy to have you on board but equally I wont hold it against you if stars aren’t your thing and you want to remove yourself - just unsubscribe, you can always come back if you miss me!
The art exhibition we did in December was fantastic. We had 4 days of people wandering around the space and collectively we sold over 35 pieces. It was a joy to share time with my other exhibitionists! I highly recommend having a go, it doesn’t have to be art, it could be anything. A gathering of similar souls wanting to share something - just lovely!
On the book front - they’re selling well for someone who doesn’t like selling! Last count was about 3,500 copies sold. I have no plans to write another book - but never say never, I think there might be one more in me. I’ll wait for my next decade, I don’t have the energy just yet. I’ve come ot the conclsuion that I’m ever evolving, unearthing new discoveries. So much to do, so little time…
I wish you a Happy New Year
Sam - ps reach for the stars!
