Tell us a story

So many stories and so little time to share them, yet we are all full of them. Old ones, new ones, it’s what makes us human - the human story. And, as you know I LOVE a good story.

Just thinking about time and where it goes? My many many hours during lockdown spent listening to all these men sharing their life experiences. On reflection - that was one massive life experience for me. Some of those men who I spoke with are sadly no longer with us yet their stories remain. That’s the beauty of sharing our stories. From their childhood memories and fears, to excitements and dreams. Honest, humble vignettes, describing how we all twist and turn through the passage of time. It’s quite a remarkable feast of learning. I’d like to share this young mans message to me after reading MEN TALK!

“I have just finished reading your book and what a book. I could not put it down. A book, which definitely resonated with me as a young man, and a perfect example of how men's attitudes and mindset can be so influenced by life experiences. This is a book which I've already recommended and probably always will - thank you!”.

I’m sat in my shed writing my thoughts, it’s been a while I’ll admit. Sometimes life is fast and furious sometimes calm and introspective. I’ve been introspecting a little. It’s been nice, not being so loud. I like introspection then, when I’m done I can pop outside again.

I’m surrounded by my books. Sometimes they feel weighty, a heavy burden. As you may know I am not only the writer but the maker, the seller, the marketeer, the postage and packager - it’s all me! And it’s hard. Sometimes I cant say another word about my books and others times you cant shut me up. My books are 14 years of sharings. They are honestly my best work. They fuel my soul and I’m never alone.

A couple of weeks ago a friend was on the tube - that huge diverse network of madness, so you can image my delight when he sent me a photo of a man reading my book! That’s a first.

Anyway folks, I just wanted to say ‘HI’ as I haven’t in a while and to let you know I’m still here. A friend messaged me recently - ‘I love the variety: Writer, Artist, Astrologer’ that’s me. Variety id the spice of life!.

If you want me, you’ll find me most days in my shed, wrapped in my wonderings - from my roots to the stars and all the stories in-between. Have a lovely day… xx
